What does the PCT role entail? - Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
- Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
- Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
- Record vital signs and patient data
- Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
- Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members
- Rotating Schedule of 3 to 4 day work weeks, including rotating Saturday's with Sunday off
- Must be flexible to work early morning and late evening hours, starting and ending times can range from 4:00 am to 6:30 pm or later.
- Average hours range from 10 to 14+ hours a day
What does a successful PCT look like? - High School Diploma (HSD) or GED *Please Note this is a State Requirement to obtain a Hemodialysis Certification
- Comfortable working around blood and needles, mixing acid or bicarb
- Desire to enter the healthcare field to care for other people in need
- Flexibility and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to work in a fast paced setting as part of a team while managing multiple responsibilities at a time
- Healthcare experience a plus including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.
